Happy Valentine’s Day | Couple’s Q & A

February 14, 2019

Happy Valentine’s day you all! Alex and I are ringing in our 5th Valentine’s day together – it sounds crazy to realize how long we have been together haha. I thought it would be fun to put together a Q&A for you guys to get to know us and our relationship a little better. These questions were collected through my Instagram stories and I have to say, you guys wanted the TEA!

Favorite memory together

jen: this is a hard one cause over the past 4+ years you can imagine just how many memories we have collected together! A couple that stand out are: 1. when we went to Rome for the first time because it was the first time we traveled together as an “official couple”, 2. seeing each other again in nyc after 3-4 months apart when we first started dating , 3. meeting each other’s families for the first time

alex: My favorite memory was definitely our road trip to California. We were able to have deep conversations and laugh for 8 whole hours – I did most of the driving sadly 🙁 . We also visited my cousins and got to eat a lot of “trendy” YouTube food!

What do we argue about

jen: I would like to think we don’t really argue to fight about anything major…I mean, we get annoyed at each other over little things like cleaning the apartment ahaha

alex: Jenny has a tendency to not put away her clothes after wearing them. Her clothes constantly pile on the (dining table) “chair”. Since I’m OCD I always bug her about this 🙂

How do we get over our arguments

jen: one of us always ends up acting cute and apologizing ahaha

alex: Definitely by talking it out. When either one of us are angry, we tend not to want to talk to each other. So the non-angry party needs to force a conversation to happen and usually things will sort out.

How often do you fight

jen: not often at all! I’m not a confrontational person and it takes A LOT to annoy alex so he just deals with my shenanigans

alex: Not very often

How’d you meet

jen: LOL – long story short, we were neighbors freshmen year of college, I think it’s so funny because when we first met, being the weirdo that I was, I just popped my head out of my room and said “FRIENDS”….and he is still with me hehe

alex: Firenze 😉

How long have you been together

jen: officially together 4 years in April…but according to all of our friends, forever

alex: Almost 4 years!

How old are you

jen: I am 22!

alex: 23

What annoys you both the most about each other

jen: bahah when he eats messy! he sometimes eats like a child and doesn’t watch himself…he has gotten SO MUCH better compared to when I first met him

alex: Her constant “shedding”. I told her we can’t get a dog, because we already have too much hair on the floor 😉

Who wears the pants in the relationship

jen: i want it to be me…

alex: Definitely Miss Yang

Who says “sorry” first

jen: hehehe…..not i

alex: Mostly me

Do you guys ever get jealous

jen: I am assuming about other girls..but I can’t remember a time that I have…i mean I do like to joke about his past crushes HAHAHHHAHAHAH (it’s the pettiness in me!)

alex: Nope

Have you guys ever broken up or taken a break

jen: NOOOO

alex: Nah

Do you guys like living in nyc

jen: I LOVE IT! I have always dreamed about living here and being here with my best friend makes it 100x better. I just wish I was closer to my family so I can see them more! There are endless things to do and see, and the options for restaurants…woo so many!

alex: of course! Me being a foodie means I can be fat and try new places all the time!

What do you do for fun

jen: does laying and cuddling and watching tv count? Alex loves to cook which has made me appreciate it more. I love when we go out and explore new parts of the city together too…which usually involves eating out

alex: Trying new restaurants/cafes and taking photos for Jenny (the instagram bf life chose me)

What you love most about each other

jen: can I say everything or is that too cheesy? If I had to choose one thing I would say that he is EXTREMELY hard working and is very determined…he’s a self-pusher and he puts every last ounce of effort into everything he does

alex: Her ability to laugh at her own jokes… (SERIOUSLY)

How do you better each other

jen: i experience a lot of self-doubt over things I can’t really control and he’s a good reminder to let myself go. He listens to my crazy dreams and pushes me towards them and even towards things I am not comfortable with

alex: Encouraging each other to try new things! I would say that Jenny is my cheerleader and I am her (male) cheerleader.

Where do you see your relationship in 5 years

jen: 💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍

alex: Hopefully in a home 🙂

Advice you would give to other couples

jen: COMMUNICATE – Alex taught me just how important it is to express my feelings and thoughts. ladies, guys honestly don’t know what we want 99% of the time…so TELL THEM! It has also helped that alex is one of my bestest best friends – he’s my go-to person for everything and we aren’t afraid to have fun or try new things!

alex: Learn to accept each other, not to change one another. I would also say, developing a friendship is key because you are spending so much time together.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse into our relationship. Sorry we couldn’t answer all of your questions – I tried to pick out the most commonly asked questions. It was so fun to answer these and to see alex’s response (we were both giggling on our own when answering them lol). Happy valentine’s day to you and your significant other!
A million and one thanks for reading – until my next lil’ thought!
xx jen
    Aww it was so cute to see your dynamic in this little Q&A! :’) Happy Valentine’s Day! // I lol-ed at the question about what you guys argue about. I’m so Alex 😛 I’ve given up on helping my roomie with her own room, but if it’s in the living room, I’ll kindly remind her about it ;P // Yo shedding is so real. But I don’t know what a “normal” amount of shedding is for a gal. I feel like women need to have more open conversations about this sO THAT WE CAN GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT!! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
      HAHAHAHHAHAHHA YESSSSS – I am so happy you can relate to the hair shedding, it’s constant problem since I was little and I blame it on the asian genes lol
