Goals of December: Making an Effort to Stop

December 3, 2017

While I focused on doing more in November, for December I want to make an effort to stop. Stop as in putting a big ole’ red stop sign in front of my face every time I begin to fall back into bad habits or thoughts. As December is here, I want to finish this year off with a bang and I can’t think of a better way than to stop old habits so I have room for new and better ones! These are my goals of December:

1. Stop Stressing

Waaaay easier said than done, right? Too often I see people stress, which then makes me stress or vice versa. This time of the year is especially stressful. From balancing school, work and a social life, things can get a little hectic. This weekend has been especially hard as I couldn’t ace a goal I was working towards and I feel like there isn’t enough time in the day to finish everything. I’ve been taking a moment out every so often to tell myself that everything will work out and to stop stressing. I’m already planning to study earlier for finals and to start really grinding on those essays!

2. Stop Being Lazy

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And NYC at this time of the year is the prettiest in my opinion. All the giant trees, festive lights and decorations throughout the city just puts you in the best mood. But as I mentioned, since it is also the most stressful time during the year, whenever I have free time, I end up lounging around the apartment. I need to stop being lazy! I’m going to make more of an effort to meet up with friends, going out to see all the decorations and do more activities throughout the city! I am going to be 100% honest here and say that I think this is going to be the hardest goal out of these.

3. Stop Touching My Face

This is one of those really bad pesky habits that I constantly have to try to stop. I’ve been telling myself this for so long and have no one to blame but myself when breakouts happen. There are so many articles out  there saying how you shouldn’t be touching your face during the day since there’s bacteria on your hands. For some reason, whenever I’m bored I find myself touching my face. I am going to make of a conscious effort to stop that and maybe see better looking skin!

These are my three goals of December! I hope they can inspire you to come up with goals of your own to work on for this month. Maybe you can join along and also make more of an effort to stop. I would totally want to hear what yours are because they can be inspirational to me! I am so excited for Christmas (as everyone else) and the festivities that are coming up!

outfit details: coat, sweater, jeans, beanie

until my next lil’ thought then!
