Hello! I wanted to start a new series on casual work attire outfits on here now that I have started working and want to dress accordingly. My work dress-code is quite casual so I have a lot of freedom when it comes my casual work attire. The first of this series is this combo that I have been loving.
Throwing on a light-weight dress shirt and tying a knot at the front instantly makes the look more casual without being too casual. I love the pattern on this top, too. I think it’s adds just the right amount of detail without it being over-bearing and you can’t match it with anything else. I’ve actually worn this top with other patterns and it has looked just as good. And the darker blue shade is perfect for fall/winter. Honestly, every work attire wardrobe needs a versatile shirt like this.
I added my favorite pair of jeans at the moment, from Topshop to create a more stream-lined look. The ripped knees also tone down the top if it is too dressy. We all need a good pair of black jeans in our wardrobe! I probably have 3 pairs and each serve a different purpose haha. Anyways, this pair is high-waisted, which is perfect for petite girls like me. It helps elongate the legs aka looking taller!
Lastly, I had to finish the look with the right accessories. These shoes are form Lulus and I know almost every girl has a pair of sandals that look like these. They are minimalistic yet can complete any look. I love how I can either dress them up or make them more casual. I think the shoes really helped tie this causal work attire together. As for jewelry, I am having a bit more fun with it all lately. I wrote a post on AURATE jewelry last week and all of these pieces are from there. These pieces are great for adding a touch more detail to the outfit. Also, this bag is TO DIE FOR — the combination of the colors are so gorgeous and fun. You guys know that I love color so I was naturally drawn to this bag!
I hope you enjoyed this casual work attire ootd and you look forward for more. I look forward to sharing more of these with you all! Let me know what work attire you usually lean towards and your office dress code!

Heels are such a great way to step up an outfit, especially for the office! I would have thought that ripped jeans would be a hard no, even for casual Fridays, but I guess there are companies out there for which it would be okay! Most of my jeans are ripped or have distressed hems so I’ve given into the fact that I need to either buy new jeans or stop wearing jeans 😛 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
