Hey hey! Sharing my current simple everyday makeup with you all today with everything linked and easily shopable. I also walked through how I apply each step on my Instagram stories, so head on over there to see that in detail – I will have it docked under MAKEUP highlights. I’ve been using the majority of these products for the past year or so and the rest for at least 3 months. I either love the product because I think they are great compared to everything I’ve tried or because it meshes well with my skin and with the combination with the rest of the products I use. I wholeheartedly stand behind every single one of these goodies that are part of my current simple everyday makeup routine.
BASE MAKEUP FOR FACE
For my base face makeup, I use Laura Mercier foundation primer, which I love because it works with every single foundation I’ve tried. I do notice a difference when I do use a primer versus when I don’t and it definitely recommend you do so to make your foundation last longer. Then I add Charlotte Tilbury’s wonderglow on top for the most beautiful glow from within finish. For foundation, I use a combination of two favorites: Lancome Tient Foundation and Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation. The two together creates the perfect coverage and finish that I am looking for. The Lancome foundation can be a bit thick and too full-coverage for my personal everyday makeup, so I balance it out with the Bobbi Brown one that is bit lighter and have an amazing finish. The Nars Radiant concealer in the pot is my favorite concealer because it’s so easy to use and malleable. I mostly use my concealer to cover up blemishes so this step is usually pretty quick. Lastly, I use two different powders to set my makeup, both from Laura Mercier. I set my t-zone and jawline area with the normal translucent powder and then use the glow translucent powder for my cheeks for the ultimate glow. I go VERY light-handed on this step to ensure my makeup doesn’t end up cakey.
BRONZER/BLUSH/HIGHLIGHT
The Charlotte Tilbury Duo bronzer and highlighter is the best palette in my eyes. The bronzer works great for Asian skin tones were it doesn’t make our already warm undertone skin look even more orange. It provides the most beautiful subtle bronze. With one palette, you can take care of two things: bronzer and highlighter! For blush, Charlotte Tilbury is a fave, as well as the illuminating palette from Chantecaille.
EYE MAKEUP
My mascara steps are work in itself aha – I first use my all-time favorite Lancome Lash Primer that is multi-purposeful with being a lash primer as well as being a serum to promote lash growth. I layer two layers on in the beginning and then wait 45 seconds to 1 minute before putting on my first layer of mascara. My first layer of mascara lately is Laura Mericer’s Full Fat Lashes one – it’s more drying but great for volume. Then my second layer is the Stila Mascara, which gives very dramatic lashes. I also love Stila for eyeliner because the tip works great for cat-eyes; it’s easy to use and maneuver. My go-to eye shadow palette has to be the Anastasia Renaissance one because you can create SO MANY looks with one palette. And on the special days, I like to use the Lancome eye shadow pencil to brighten my inner corners.
LIPS
Charlotte Tilbury has some of my favorite lip products from their extremely soft lip liners to their iconic PillowTalk that looks great for all skin tones I’ve seen it on. It’s so easy to wear and is long-lasting from what I’ve experienced. It’s a soft-matte texture that provides a matte look, but is really comfortable. And for when I feel extra jazzy, I pop it off with Bobbi Brown’s lip gloss in shade Free Spirit – this gloss has been my favorite thus far. It isn’t sticky and looks great layered or on its own.
PHEW! That was a hefty post of explaining aha – I definitely think it makes much more sense if you can see me applying everything and getting to see the finish result via Instagram. I hope this post was helpful in recommending some products for you and you learned something! Even though it seems like a lot, my simply everyday makeup routine takes me less than 10 minutes from start to finish so it’s definitely doable for an everyday look 🙂
A million and one thanks for reading – until my next lil’ thought then!
