Continuing on the Chinese New Year themed posts this week and I hope you are not tired of them yet because today’s post is a stye related one with a Chinese New Year inspired outfit! Earlier in the week I wrote about what colors you should be wearing for Chinese New Year, and today’s post is related to that. If you read that post, you would know that red is THE lucky color during this time, bringing in all the good luck and fortune while warding off the evil and bad luck.

This look was compiled through things already owned in my closet…which you can easily re-create. I took red as my base (need all the luck I can get) with my trousers and lipstick! And then I had a subtle light gold top that was perfect for the occasion. Gold is also a lucky color during this time! And then I topped the look off with some pumps. It was easy and I think a really pulled-together look. While I work at a pretty casual office environment, you can definitely bring this look into the workspace with a cute blazer on top. Or take it to drinks out at a classy bar and then a nice restaurant after! The outfit is super versatile!
