This week has ended in a blast for me! I got to see my best friend of 11 years who came all the way into the city to visit me. I still get amazed at just how easy it is to be with some people…she is definitely one of those. It was a much anticipated visit since she has ever met Alex (my boyfriend) in person and I am still sooo happy over how well they got along. Well, they got along almost too well—might as well be them being best friends 😉We went to see a Yankees game together since she loves baseball and she spent the entire time explaining the game to Alex and I (sorry chubs😜). The three days we was here went by way too fast and I can’t wait to see her again.
After having a few friends visit over the course of a couple weeks, I got so tired out from going out and doing way more stuff out of the apartment than I normally would. So I spent the whole day yesterday just laying at home and relaxing as much as I could. I am hands-down one of the biggest home-bodies you will ever meet…nothing makes me more happy than a day spent at home with no plans. But today, I told myself I cannot possibly stay cooped up for two days in a row so I went out for some fresh air, explored a nearby mall that I live near and had dinner out with Alex. We decided to spoil ourselves with dessert…stay tuned for the next blog post to find out where we got the best donut ice cream sandwich! All in all, it has been a great day!!😊
Usually on casual days out, especially on Sundays, which I view as casual always, I dress pretty simply and more for comfort than glam. Today, I just paired a simple soft t-shirt I got forever ago from Forever 21, a skirt from Forever 21, and these new kicks I picked up a few weeks ago from Sperry. And my favorite bag, which you’ve probably seen a million times before on here from JCrew and Burberry sunglasses. My hair was feeling a bit flat so I just pulled it up into a ponytail and clasped it together with this cute bow hair tie I got so long ago that I forgot where it’s from. I went without arm jewelry today and instead opted for some cute earrings—you can’t do wrong with some panda and bicycle earrings! I think these are all simple pieces that make the perfect go-to casual outfit. It was comfortable and breezy for the 80+ degree weather NYC had today.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well and look forward to the upcoming one! I am heading home this Friday so I am super excited for that, especially to see my family…but sad that the friends I have at home will already be at college. I will be doing lots of packing while still studying for the LSATs which are fast approaching! Wherever you are, I’ll be sending lots of love and positive thoughts!☺️
Until my next lil’ thought then!
Jen❣️
