Bullet Journal Life

Bullet Journal Spread: May 2018

May 2, 2018

Hi all! It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve last sat down to write a post. So many things have been going on in my life like finals, job applications and I just got sick —the combination of those are not fun. But I’m so excited to share with you my May bullet journal spread! For someone who loves color and integration of it throughout everything I do, I decided to take a step back this month and go with a more monochromatic look.

Monthly Spread

I wanted to stay with the grid-setup for my monthly spread since I thought it worked really well last month. It is easier to see everything in one place and doesn’t limit the spacing. There’s so many larger events going on this month like graduation! I am both nervous and excited…but glad I am going to be done with finals soon. And to fill in the empty spacing, I tried out my doodling skills with plants/leaves…which don’t judge cause I have a long ways to go! For my inspirational quote of the month, I chose “You will never find time for anything. if you want time you must make it.” This is so perfect for the busiest month ever!

Trackers

The expenses tracker also changed this month. It looks more minimalistic and there is a lot more space for entries. I also created a place to break down on what I spend things on….I know the food entry will probably be the largest amount hahah. I think out of everything every month, this tracker is the one I try to keep up with the most.

Next I have my blogging schedule where I can schedule out posts and place any ideas I have for the month. While I am really balancing everything in my life at the moment, I am still trying to blog consistently. you guys know I love to come on here to talk to you all and to share whatever is going on my life.

Lastly, there is the brain dump area—I need to make sure I always have a place to write down random ideas and thoughts. I try to keep my other spreads as neat as possible so I don’t just write whatever down. I will come back to this page to jot it down.

The mood and habit tracker also stayed the same with just a more cleaned up look. I am still tracking my sleep time, when I get up, gym time, etc. And on the opposite page, I have my study plan trackers, which already has me so stressed for next week. I am hoping I get to keep my sanity and this will be a big reason. I planned out what I needed to do for each specific day to help me stay on track.

Weekly Spread

This is the part that changed the most for this month. I made long columns to include all of my daily to-dos specific to that day and for assignments that are assigned that particular day. And for things that I can do throughout the week, I designated a column to it. I also think it would be a good idea to include an area for goals and reflections of the week—that would be so fun to look back on!

Transcending Waves

I know a lot of you have mentioned that you have no time to create spreads for every month but still love the idea of bullet journals. I really suggest you try out Transcending Waves. They have pre-created spreads to fulfill every single need. From monthly spreads to weekly spreads, there is absolutely everything that you could ever need. I love that there are daily spreads everyday so you know exactly what you are doing every day and to plan accordingly. Check it out and get started on your own bullet journal journey!

A million and one thanks for reading — until my next lil’ thought then!

xx Jen

I just started using a bullet journal instead of a pre-printed planner because I couldn’t find anything that quite fit my needs. I was irritated by having to create my layouts initially but now I find it oddly soothing. Really weird. I love looking at how other people organize theirs, it’s so fun!
